West Java – Bringing in the Beans!
Lush green during the wet season, the Mountains of West Java turn a hazy, gunsmoke blue during the dry months of the year. In the stinging heat the villagers work to bring in the coffee from the valleys to dry on mats around the hilltop villages. This communal effort coincides with the rice and clove harvests- a big event for the Villagers of the Sunda region of Indonesia.
